WaterColor

Artists' paint made with a water-soluble binder such as gum arabic, and thinned with water rather than oil, giving a transparent color.

Watercolor

Example of a watercolor painting.

The more water applied to the painting the color will fade to a lighter tone and will give the painting a blur effect.

In this painting less water is applied so the watercolor paint is much more solid giving it a clean look.

This is a example of spattered watercolor art where water is added to let the paint bleed and more water the lighter the ink gets.
