Hello! My name is Eloy Castillo. I am currently a graphic design major here at Bronx Community College. I would describe my art to be very open in the way that I can't seem to stick to one medium. This has it's ups and downs, because of this I have not been able to master one specific way to do art. If I had to choose an art form that I stayed the longest doing it would be video editing. I feel like I can stay up until 5 am in the morning trying to time everything and put it all into place. For the moment I only have works to display in my photography portfolio, as you navigate through my page you will see that it is the only page with displayable contect. However in the future I hope to have more works to display. If I could choose a form of art I enjoy most working with meaning I can spend till 5 am in the morning working with it is video editing and Yoga. I love video editing and creating my own videos. Videos with a meaning behind them, or just silly ones. Things I enjoy doing on my spare time is Yoga. I love doing Yoga. It's so good for your physical health, mental health, and spiritual health. I have been doing Yoga for 5 years now and its benefits have been doing wonders for me. I have always been involved with physical activitys such as Tae kwon do, Dance, and now Yoga. Out of all Three I enjoy most Yoga. I think that as I grew older I began to think about all of the worlds horrors and I needed something to help me try to alleviate the thoughts and darkness that is in the world. When I do Yoga, I forget everything. No one can disturb me and if I am disturbed I stop the practice all together because the zone I was in is no longer there, I can just fake it but then it's not real, to me it isn't. It is a place I build for myself where nothing negative is allowed to enter. The moment something negative enters I stop. It is that important to me.
The meaning behind "Back Sheep" is to be different, odd, basically not fitting in. To me not fitting in is fitting in with the ones who don't fit in so technically you are still "in" if that makes any sense. So I do not like to associate the word with that saying. It's also a bit Cliche and over used. My explanation for being a Black Sheep is too complicated for me to be able to articulate because there are many types of Black Sheeps. But to put it all in one it is basically someone who writes their own system.
For the future of Black Sheep I hope to focus more on creative videos
